LEGHZAOUI SUSPENDED FOR EPO USAGE

Race Results Weekly reported that the former holder of the world best time for 10 kilometers on the road,
Asmae Leghzaoui, was suspended on May 30th by the Moroccan federation for a positive drug test for EPO, it was reported by Agence France-Presse.

The positive drug test occurred at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Avenches, Switzerland last March and was confirmed when the "B" sample also tested positive in a second test. The Fédération Royale Marocaine d'Athlétisme (FRMA) suspended her for two years.

Leghzaoui had been scheduled to compete in the New York Women's Mini 10-K on 07-Jun.
