World Best 5k for Radcliffe
David Monti of Race Results Weekly reports that Paula Radcliffe of Great Britain, the current world recordholder in the marathon, ran a world best at 5k, winning the Flora Light Challenge for Women 5k in London on Sept. 14, 2001. Her time was 14:51, and bests both the 14:54 run by Berhane Adere in April and by Deena Drossin in 2002, both at the Carlsbad 5000.
