Hollywood, Florida will play host to the annual Road Race Management Race Directors’ Meeting and Trade Exhibit, November 10-12.  The three-day meeting offers sessions on critical topics for running event directors and officials, along with networking opportunities and a chance for event directors to shop for equipment and service needs at the Trade Exhibit.

  • Risk Management – Protecting Your Event, Projects, Staff and Volunteers

  • The Changing Local Political Landscape for Events

  • Keynote Dinner featuring Steve Miller, CEO, Agassi Holdings and former Nike sports marketing executive

The full program and schedule is available at www.rrm.com.

Exhibitors at the meeting will include vendors offering awards; competitor numbers; banners; fencing; finish-line timing services; computer products and online registration; web services; t-shirts, jackets and other apparel; magazines; event photography and many other services.

Thousands of race officials, corporate sponsors, advertising and public relations executives, sports organization representatives (RRCA, USATF, RUSA, PRRO) and others interested in organized running events have attended this annual fall gathering since 1983.

“Advance interest is high, coming off of last year’s well-attended meeting and trade show.  We have recruited some of the sport’s most experienced and articulate leaders to share their wealth of knowledge,” said meeting coordinator Jeff Darman.

Phil Stewart, Road Race Management president, added, “Our site on the beach at the Marriott Hollywood Beach, a few miles from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood airport, offers a great environment for event directors not only to obtain valuable information, but also to unwind and network in a relaxed atmosphere.  Many race committees reward committee members with a trip to this meeting, finding it a great way to give key committee members a special thank you and educational opportunity while rejuvenating them for next year’s race.”

The Road Race Management meeting is sponsored by Active Endurance; Ashworth Awards; Atlanta Track Club; Britten, Inc.; ChronoTrack; Electric City Printing; Gatorade; igiftbags.com; Leslie Jordan, Inc.; MarathonFoto; MarathonGuide.com; Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic; and the World’s Best 10K.

Road Race Management is a member-based organization that, in addition to conducting its annual Race Directors’ Meeting, publishes a trade newsletter and several other publications in print and on the web for race and industry officials.
