Marathon Marketing Plan
Just curious if any of you have a marathon specific marketing plan. I know there was a timeline in a recent RRM newsletter but it was geared towards shorter events. I call my timeline a marketing plan, allow it does include more than just marketing/promotion efforts.
Over the years I've put one together, as we begin planning a year out (at least). If you have one to share please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org I'm trying to see if I'm missing anything.

I believe the template that was in RRM newsletter can be applied to a marathon. I would just allow 20-30% more time -- especially for anything concerning the course, applying for permits, etc. You also will want to allow longer lead time for promoting the race because runners make their marathon decisions much earlier than their 10k decisions.
