About the Meeting

The 2007 Road Race Management Race Directors' Meeting and Trade Exhibit will be held Nov. 8-10 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Resort. Note that these are revised dates from those originally published.

Join us at the world’s foremost, oldest, and most prestigious race directors’ meeting and trade exhibit. Network with many of the sport’s prominent and best-known event directors, sponsors, national running media, sports organizations, and your fellow race directors.

Take advantage of this annual unique opportunity to upgrade and improve your event. Learn, talk, socialize, debate and exchange ideas with race officials just like yourself. Expose yourself to innovative marketing ideas that can help you recruit new and retain existing sponsors.

Race directing in the 21st century offers significant opportunities as well as growing challenges. If you don’t continually improve your skills, you and your event risk being left behind. That’s why each year Road Race Management recruits many of the sports most experienced and articulate leaders who will share their secrets of success with you. Learn how they cope with new challenges and improve their events year after year.

Please join us in Ft. Lauderdale at the beautiful Hyatt Pier 66 Resort and Marina. Think about spending an extra day to enjoy the pools, boating and fishing or nearby golf in this tropical oasis located on a marina surrounded by spectacular yachts.

Details of the 2007 Meeting are still being finalized and will be posted here as soon as they become available. In the meantime, the 2006 Meeting Schedule and Faculty should give you some idea of the types of sessions we offer and the quality of our faculty.

Who Should Attend?
Race directors, officials of races of all sizes, sponsors, agents, public relations and event marketing professionals, media, and exhibitors with an interest in the road running marketplace.

The Program
The entire faculty prepares fully in advance, often surveying races around the country to bring you topical, in-depth information in all our seminars. The 2007 schedule has not yet been set. Click here to view the 2006 Meeting Schedule.

The Trade Show
Race officials have a chance to "shop" for all their needs at the two-day Race Directors' Trade Exhibit. The show provides a very efficient way to see what's new for race directors and running clubs, and to meet people you may have been talking to on the phone for years.

Networking
The weekend offers numerous informal gatherings--including the Atlanta Track Club continental breakfast, Gasparilla Distance Classic Coffee Breaks, Gatorade Breaks, Keynote Luncheon, and Running Times/World's Best 10K and Road Race Management evening receptions--to renew acquaintances, make new friends and learn from your colleagues in a relaxed resort atmosphere.

See the Sights
Think about spending an extra day to enjoy the three pools, sailing, fishing or nearby golf in this tropical oasis (golf packages are available through the hotel). Our meeting headquarters is located in the yachting capital of the world on a marina surrounded by spectacular yachts.

Give a Key Worker a Real Perk
Many race committees reward committee members with a trip to this meeting. It's a great way to give a volunteer a special treat while rejuvenating them for next year's race. Take advantage of our special five for four offer.

Special Five for Four Registration Offer
Any race committee, club or company that registers five people by October 8th may register the fifth person free. Payment and all five registrations must be transmitted together by October 8th to qualify--all registrants must be members of the sponsoring organization.
