About the Meeting

As we look ahead, planning for a normal rest of 2022 and a true renewal of the sport in 2023, we have witnessed the resiliency of events. So, we encourage you to come to Hollywood to share “war stories” and to celebrate the strength of our sport and those who make it possible.

While things look much better, we must remain vigilant and plan for the unexpected. We overused the word “pivot” during the last two years' ordeal, but learning to be nimble and to adjust to the unexpected or unpleasantness is a necessary skill for successful race officials.

Take advantage of this opportunity to upgrade and improve your event. Learn, talk, socialize, debate and exchange ideas with other race officials. Network with event directors, sponsors, national running media, sports organizations, official and industry suppliers.

Join us on the beach in Hollywood, FL (6 miles from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport).

The entire Faculty prepares fully in advance, often surveying races around the country to bring you topical, in-depth information in all our seminars. The 2022 Meeting Schedule is now available.

The Trade Show
Race officials have a chance to "shop" for all their needs at the two-day Race Directors' Trade Exhibit. The show provides a very efficient way to see what's new for race directors and running clubs, and to meet people you may have been talking to on the phone for years.

The weekend offers numerous informal gatherings--including the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Coffee Breaks; Gatorade Breaks; Keynote Dinner; and MarathonGuide.com/Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic and Ashworth Awards evening receptions--to renew acquaintances, make new friends and learn from your colleagues in a relaxed resort atmosphere.
