Online registration provider RacePartner is under heavy fire for delinquent payments and misrepresentations of balances owed to race organizations. Race director Sean Ryan, one of the victims in the situation, said "there are more than two dozen victims and several million dollars in missing funds." Ryan is the owner of claimant Fall 50, and an organizer of several other affected events.
Reached by phone on Monday, Kirk St. Johns, who took over RacePartner as CEO last November, said he has turned operations around at RacePartner and has pledged to make creditors whole. That pledge has met with skepticism by race directors who doubt the company has enough value, weighed against its debts, to recover.
